W.I.N. The pantry is currently in need of canned fruit, jelly, peanut butter, and pasta sauce (caned or bottled). The pantry does NOT need canned beans, corn, green beans, pasta or soup. Monetary donations are always welcome.
Joanne’s Joy will be will be meeting on Sunday, Novem-ber 18th to finalize our mission projects for Christmas. This year they will be purchasing gifts for the women and children from Hilltop Haven. Reminder: Gift card orders are taken on the first Sunday of each month. Christmas will be here before we know it and all gift card orders for Christmas should be placed on Decem-ber 2nd.
Young at Heart will meet on December 4th, 11:00 a.m. at the home of Pastor Jane for their annual Christmas Luncheon. Everyone is asked to bring a wrapped $1.00 grab bag gift. Let Nancy McDonnell know if you will be attending.

Healing Hands will meet on Thursdays, November 29th and December 13th at 1:30 p.m. We are studying Women of the Bible! All women are welcome. The pro-gram will resume after the New Year.
God Sightings will meet on Thursdays, , November 29th and December 13th at 7:30 p.m. . We are studying “Unshakable Hope: Building Our Lives on the Promises of God” by Max Lucado. The program will resume after the new year.
A special thank-you to everyone who came out and helped us decorate our church for Christmas. The gar-land was fluffed, the lights were hung, and the wreaths are all in place — in other words, it is beautiful. Thank you.
Our Christmas Cantata, “Only Love,” will be presented during Morning Worship, at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, December 9th. Please feel free to invite your friends and neighbors to celebrate the Christmas season with this inspirational musical presentation.
Coffee and …
Our next “Coffee and …” will be on December 9th fol-lowing our Cantata, “Only Love.” We will be having a light luncheon of little sandwiches, chips, coffee, tea, iced tea, and homemade cookies and brownies for des-sert. Please sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex if you would like to bring cookies or brownies to our gathering.

A special thank you to each and every one of your who donated to all our holiday programs. We provided 50 blessing bags for the homeless, 60 pies and 5 turkeys for W.I.N.’s Thanksgiving baskets , and for making a difference in so many ways throughout the year.
Once again we will be making poinsettias available to purchase and decorate our sanctuary for Christmas. The plants cost $17.00 each and are red with gold foil trim. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex.
All annual reports are due in the Church Office by January 6th so we can begin preparation for the Annual Meeting on January 27th.
OUR ADVENT SCHEDULE
November 25th, 10:30 a.m., Thanksgiving Worship
Come lift your blessings to the Lord this Thanksgiving weekend as the praise band and choir share their gifts; we are reminded of the importance of giving; and we celebrate as a family of God.
December 2nd 10:30 a.m., We Remember through Commitment & Communion
As we gather, we will remember the faithfulness of Our Lord and those that have gone before us; make our commitment to Preakness Faith Community for 2019; and come to His table to remember Our Lord and His journey from the Cradle to the Cross for each of us!
If you would like us to remember a loved one, please complete the form in the narthex and return to the church office by November 30th or contact Pastor Jane directly.
December 9th, 10:30 a.m., Christmas Cantata “ONLY LOVE”
How blessed we are to have an amazing group of gifted singers who share their love for Jesus in song. Come, here His story in song, for His message never grows old. Following worship, we will gather as family and friends for a light lunch!
December 15th, Noon to 3:00 p.m., Caroling
It is very important that we take time out of our busy schedule to share His love during the Christmas season to those “shut-in”. If you can join us for lunch and then caroling, please sign up in the narthex. I promised you will feel the blessings of serving!

Come worship and take time from our overwhelming schedules of the season to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas! How blessed we are to be able to experience His love and put everything else aside, even for just a few moments.

This year we will gather in the morning and also in the evening for our traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on the 23rd. Come share in one or two of our services with special music; His story; and a Christmas message for the heart.

As we close another year, come and share in giving thanks to Our Lord for His continued faithfulness to Preakness Faith Community and His people!
