We Care! We Serve! We Believe

From the Laptop of Pastor Jane

Is that a flower trying to bud through the cold ground? Oh my, it is the beginning of a Lily! I can-not wait for spring as I would imagine most of you feel! There is something refreshing about a spring day and watching the trees and flowers starting to bloom. That coupled with Easter, and His story, gives each of us HOPE for a new day, as we too, can start to come ALIVE! I am excited about where the Lord will take us as individuals and a church this season and to share Holy Week togeth-er as a family.

We already began the Lenten season with our Len-ten Prayer Calendar, which many have shared they appreciate as they go to the Lord each day! Soup for the Soul began two weeks ago too, and there is still three Tuesdays left to come and enjoy great soup, dessert and a Lenten message for the soul! Thank you to Nancy McDonnell, Ada and Dave Smith, Ethel Van Der Horn and our bakers for a blessed gathering each week.

My prayer is as we get closer to Holy Week, which begins on April 14th, you will set aside time to cele-brate His message in song; remember his journey to the cross; bring a child to the Easter Egg Hunt where they can hear about Jesus; and celebrate our Risen Lord on Easter Sunday. Mark your cal-endar friends for our family is gathering to honor Jesus, our Lord:

  • Coffee and… following worship service
  • Good Friday, April 19th 8:00 p.m. Traditional Good Friday Service

  • 6:30 a.m. Sunrise Service! Holy Grounds Café open at 6 a.m.
  • Easter Sunday, April 21st 10:30 a.m. Easter Worship Service! Hallelujah!

Easter is a time for the family of God! Looking for-ward to sharing the season with you!
