2018 Christmas Letter

2018 Christmas Letter

Dear Friends,

As we enter into the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, we want to “thank you” for the countless ways we have seen Christ moved through each of you and our church family this past year! Whether we were sharing with W.I.N.; the homeless through St. Timothy Luther- an Church; sharing love with our college students; rebuilding homes for the elderly and disabled; opening our doors for those in need; making someone feel special on their birthday; helping the Good Shepherd Mission or Hilltop Haven Ministry; or giving in countless ways individually through serving, we surely were the hands and feet of Jesus on earth! Thank you!

May you experience His presence like never before this season and KNOW that the Preakness Faith Community is here for you! Come join us as we adore Him and praise His name! I promise it will be your blessing!

Merry Christmas!

Pastor Jane, Nancy, Karen, Ruth, Pastor Herb and Efren

November 25th 10:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Worship

Come lift your blessings to the Lord this Thanksgiving weekend as the praise band and choir share their gifts; we are reminded of the importance of giving; and we celebrate as a family of God.

December 2nd 10:30 a.m. We Remember through Commitment & Communion

As we gather, we will remember the faithfulness of Our Lord and those that have gone before us; make our commitment to Preakness Faith Community for 2019; and come to His table to remember Our Lord and His journey from the Cradle to the Cross for each of us!

If you would like us to remember a loved one, please complete the form in the narthex and return to the church office by November 30th or contact Pastor Jane directly.

December 9th 10:30 a.m. Christmas Cantata “ONLY LOVE

How blessed we are to have an amazing group of gifted singers who share their love for Jesus in song. Come, here His story in song, for His message never grows old.

Following worship, we will gather as family and friends for a light lunch! As our dessert today, we are asking families to bring homemade cookies or brownies. Please sign up on the narthex bulletin board if you can help!

December 15th Noon to 3:00 p.m. Christmas Caroling

It is very important that we take time out of our busy schedule to share His love during the Christmas season to those “shutin”. If you can join us for lunch and then caroling, please sign up in the narthex. I promised you will feel the blessings of serving!

December 16th 10:30 a.m.

Come worship and take time from our overwhelming schedules of the season to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas! How blessed we are to be able to experience His love and put every- thing else aside, even for just a few moments.

December 23rd 10:30 a.m. Christmas Sunday

6:00 p.m. Christmas Eve, Eve Service

This year we will gather in the morning and also in the evening for our traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on the 23rd. After talking to many members of our congregation, we realized that moving our Christmas Eve service to the 23rd will allow many more to attend and also give each family more time to spend with their families on Christmas Eve. Come share in one or two of our services with special music; His story; and a Christmas message for the heart.

December 30th 10:30 a.m. New Year’s Eve, Eve Service

As we close another year, come and share in giving thanks to Our Lord for His continued faith-fulness to Preakness Faith Community and His people!
